Some of my other projects

Here are some other projects I am working on. See below for the Lightburn screen shots.
Black Hawk V1 about 60% This is cut out and ready for test assembly. It has a one-piece 38" wing, will use a mini swappable power pod. Second test build.
Black Hawk V1 build

An FT build style "Fugly" jet originally designed by Experimental Airlines. I call it the "Less Fugly Jet" uses a 3S or 4S 64mm EDF and a 2200Mah battery. There is also a 70mm version. I may combine these into 1 version. It is a very quick build. Have assembled the Fuse to test fit of the EDF units
Experimental Airlines Fugly Jet

An FT Pun Jet scaled for a 40mm EDF unit. This one I am still working on. Not really happy about how large it has gotten in size. Debating slimming it down.

It is amazing how much time I have put into these and others since My brother bought a 130W 900mm x 1400mm Laser.

Baby Black Hawk test fit together. Some problems with fit. Motor pod was way too far out. had to move it in about 1/2". Some Laser setting problems caused complete cuts where they were not needed. But, it is getting there. Thanks for the original design Mr. NCT

Pun Jet EDF taking a different path. Going to be way closer to the Pun Jet V2.5 version. Trying to keep it small.

My brother built the Less Fugly Jet on Friday. He was trying to finish it last night it for a test/maiden flight today. He put a Dr. Mad thrust 70mm in it. He made me redesign the fuse with the meeting point in the upper mid fuse, rather than the right upper corner. He had trouble figuring out the Battery box.

Same size as the Pun Jet V2.5 The 40mm EDF is mounted partially into the wing. Then a Hood is glued over the EDF unit. Now just need to figure out the mounting for the Elevon servos. I have the servo cutouts in the EDF hood now.
Might need to realign the Control horns in the elevons. Each change creates some other Evil! LOL. I still managed to get it all on one sheet. Oops The Canopy still needs editing. Some of the air is going to come in behind the canopy. The rest comes in both sides.

Made some more headway on the Mini Pun Jet 40mm EDF. Laser cut the previous file and then partial build to see what needed adjusting.
Corrected some errors that have creeped in through all the changes. Reshaped and widened the Canopy some more for better airflow back to the EDF. Widened the Shroud for better airflow. Widened the fuselage to accept a 1300mah 4S. Moved the EDF .5" forward for a better balance point. And a bunch of other adjustments. Had to redo the KFm panels again. Remind me to do KFm panels as the very last thing next time.

It's coming along.

Looking forward to the Less Fugly Jet and Mini Pun Jet 40mm EDF.
My Brother is trying to get the "Less Fugly" Maiden'd on Saturday, Tomorrow. Will let you know.
The Pun Jet 40mm EDF is still in the drawing/scratch stages. Changed the canopy, better air flow there now but, still not happy with the Air inlet shape and size. The air down the sides of the fuse, into the hood, is still not very good.

The Black Hawk is coming along also. I have too many projects going at once right now! LOL

The "Less Fugly" Jet, Built the FT way, is really quick to build. The airframe takes less than a Half hour to build. Still figuring out its Electronics placement for balance.
He only needs to finish the control rods to have it fly now.

I do not know how I managed it but, the EDF Hood is 25mm to narrow in the middle. I have redrawn it. The cooling inlet was too large. It made it real hard to fold the foam over properly, too weak, adjusted the size down.

Made progress towards finishing this up.

The Pun Jet EDF is coming along.
I had to resort to hand cutting parts for the EDF hood today, to get things to finally line up. Haven't done this type of stuff since my last Balsa model in like 1999 or worse. LOL

There are like 4 planes in progress right now. Pun Jet 2.52 built with electronics mostly in, needs motor mount designed and printed. Have to adjust some installed parts in Black Bird, then install electronics. Pun Jet EDF. Still working on the flying model of Pun Jet 2.2. Still trying to get it flying without Flight Controller.
