Some Radiomaster ZORRO Transmitter help?

All,

I am new to the hobby and could use some help troubleshooting an issue I’m having with my FT Simple Cub with R-88 receiver and RadioMaster Zorro 4-in-1 with EdgeTX.

I have had it bound and operating well for a while. Recently I took it out to our local flying field and it was maidened by an experienced pilot. It was amazing to see it in the air! He said it flew well and suggested that I add dual rates to make it easier for me to learn.

I added the dual rates and things looked good as far as I could tell by the feedback the Zorro’s B/W screen. However when I tried to test it on the model, it acted like it was no longer bound — there was no control response at all. I attempted to rebind it with no luck.

Perhaps my fiddling around in EdgeTX may have botched things up. Now I have no idea where to start to troubleshoot it.

Please know that I struggle with the radio side of our hobby. It’s like learning a foreign language to me. I will require some clear direction.

Does anyone out there have an idea? I’d appreciate it!

We need to make sure it’s bound first. If it’s bound, I believe the LED on the receiver should be solid red. If it’s not bound. Also, if you plug in your plane first, and then turn on your TX, then the control surfaces should wiggle for a moment when they connect.

If it’s bound, then it’s possible that out accidentally set all of your rates to zero. Let’s focus on making sure it’s bound first though.

Thanks for your reply, Foamforce!

I plug in the battery and the receiver's LED gives one flash per second. I turn on the transmitter and no control surface movement.
