Source for 2.5mm external retainer rings

All,

I'm looking for 2.5mm external retainer rings (aka c circlips or External Shaft Retaining Rings or that little doodad that holds your motor axle in place that you f'd up because you were being a gorilla with your motor as you were trying to disassemble it).

I was trying to reverse the direction my motor is facing so I can put it in an EDF housing.

The axle is 3mm, and there's a groove in it holding the c retainer clip that has a 2.5mm diameter.

I don't feel like buying a pack of 300 clips...even if the packs went as low as 2.5mm diameter.

I can find e-circlips, but I'd like to replace the piece I destroyed.

I've used as much Google-fu as I can muster to try to find a source.

No joy.

Obviously, SOMEONE makes them (in China) otherwise how would the motor manufacturer have them to install?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

PS, I can just install a 3mm shaft collar, but then I have to start mucking with the shaft opening of the EDF housing. M/L

McMaster Carr is my go to for such things. You might end up with a slightly different style but you will be able to find something that works.
