hey sponz i have a question for you. my wife teaches at a kids art school and they are always looking for guest artists to come in a teach. and being a artist and designer my self i thought i would be cool to teach kids about flite. is there a model that makes a good chuck glider ??

I would check out the FT Sparrow. It is designed to be a chuck glider or a powered plane. Also fits on one sheet of foam board.

Like @Mortis said, the FT Sparrow makes a decent chucker. I have built a couple for my nephews. If you are looking to do a group build, check out the FT STEM store, as they have some other purpose built chuck gliders in bulk packs you can purchase. Unfortunately no free plans for those.

Check to see if there is a local EAA (Experamental Aircraft Association) Chapter in your area. They may have a School Flight Program or may be able to help you in some way.

no chapter in my area. but there are a few museum's in my province, sadly it's mostly just kids working summer jobs there so they don't really know any information other then whats on the wall. but living in Newfoundland and Labrador canada we do have a rich heritage of flight, during the war we had military airbases all over Botwood, Gander, Goose bay, so their is definitely someone around who knows something.
i would like to meet one of the eaa chapters those. perhaps i can reach out to the closest province.

Contact EAA at Oshkosh, WI. I don't have their address, but send it to Oshkosh and it should get to them. They will know of any EAA Chapter near you and give you that info. Good luck.

I haven't heard any new info on the Long EZ in a "long" time. (see what I did there ). I will try and check in with FTHQ and see what's up with that design.

Possible? Sure. It will be a while before I get to it though. My free time between now and Flite Fest is at an all time low. Please be patient, and thanks for your understanding.

Long EZ - I was inspired by Alex's video and drew up the below. Larger size flew great for me. Mini flew well for AirplaneJanes but I had challenges.
