I downloaded the Simple Scout XL plans and tried to convert a page to dxf so I can cut it out on my needlecutter. I finally figured out a way to get one page as a PDF. I used InkScape and Illustrator. The page won't allow me to delete any of the objects I don't need in the dxf file. No matter what I try I can't convert it. The dxf file I export is always blank when I open it in ESTLCAM. It seems the PDF format has completely changed from all the ones listed at the beginning of this thread. When I opened a page in Illustrator all the lines and curves where vector objects. Now it is all one big image that I can't edit. Any suggestions on what else I might try?

Yea, while I understand FT's decision about plans, I am still mad at the jerks who made them go defensive, it just ruins it for the rest of us.

for another idea about the scout Xl (and let me try to give you a hint... pm me if you need a second one) the scout XL is 150% of the original...

I don’t think there are any Hawker Hurricane plans in the FT arena but if anyone knows of one please point me to it.
I’m really wanting to build the Hurricane along the lines of the MS Spitfire design.

The plans call for 7, but 1 of them are just wood pieces. So in total, roughly 6.

So far I have built 3 mini scouts (they flew like trash with ailerons tho) and a mini F22 which has been the best so far. Next up is going to be a mini arrow followed by the mini alpha which is my favorite. Unfortunately the first flight with the F22 the radio shat the bed and lawndarted the plane into the floor from 100ft up.

Got the Mini Arrow built. Out of the planes I have made thus far it is by far my favorite. Being a proper airfoil it actually got better flight time than the F22, and its much more maneuverable. Its extremely nimble too. Im not running any expo since my simple DXS doesnt have it, but its very easy to fly. It can glide fairly slowly or zip around like a rocket.
