Specter V2 Help

Hello Forum!

I recently was introduced to IBCrazy's Specter V2 after Spencer, an active member on FliteTest.com posted an article with pictures of his Specter V2 and after researching and hearing a lot of positive reviews about it, decided to make the Specter V2 my next scratch build. However, I wanted to make the aircraft completely detachable for ease of transport since I do a lot of traveling overseas.

Construction: Fiberglassed Dollar Tree Foam for fuselage and tail, fiberglassed blue insulation foam for wings.
Wingspan: 48"
Length: 44"
AUW: 31 oz approx.
Motor: 2826-06 Turnigy 2200kv
Battery: 3S 2200mAh Lipo

Requirements: 1) Both wings detachable.
2) Twin boom CF tubes detachable from wing and folds into tail.
3) Rudders fold down onto elevator.

For rudder, I planned on using the same method Ed from Experimental Airlines uses on his vertical stabilizers on the Peace Drone XR via magnetic latches. (Link below)

As for the twin boom CF tubes, I was going to use one screw between the horizontal stabilizer allowing it to swing inwards, somewhat like when a tricopters arms swings towards the tail.

Now the part that I can't figure out is how to attach the wings. I thought about using screw two screws per wings to secure it, but I'm pretty sure theres a much smarter way of doing it, and thats where I need your help.

Any and all ideas, opinions are welcome. I'm still a novice when it comes to scratch building and theres much for me to learn!

I just built one and did a maiden flight today. I used elastics for attaching the tail to the wing and the wing to the Fuse. Here are my pictures IMG_20140825_155400.jpg IMG_20140825_155409.jpg IMG_20140825_155417.jpg IMG_20140825_155432.jpg IMG_20140825_155456.jpg

Well I'm also building one, but right now I dont have time to complete the build, work and vacations lol after vacations I'll wrap it up but it is basically the same concept as Jimmyp. But I dont know how it will fly! hope I will test it soon.

I've had one now for about a year. Great plane that's very stable and hard to stall! One mod i would do if/when i build another is to include flaps or brakes of some kind as it does like to go fast and slides a long way on its belly when landing.

I use rubber bands to attach the wing to the fuse, but I mustn't have enough; if I'm pulling up moderately, the wing comes away from the fuse and then back again, setting up an oscillation that's very un-nerving!

all in all, very awesome design, all credit to IBCrazy!
