Landing gear wire bent.

I use just one length of 1/8th wire 2+9+9+2 inches instead of 2 pieces. I hope I have this right from what I understood from the build video.

Day 5
All sheets have been cut. I had to use an extra sheet of foam board to remake a couple of parts so 9 sheets in total. Apart from my first Scout XL I think the FT Seaduck that I built last year is the only other plane that used so many sheets. I am going to start work on the wings today but first need to make some bench space as they will need a lot.

For the wings it looks like the FT SBK uses double foam board sheets as in the build video the upper and lower parts of the wings are connected. As I only have single sheets the 2 halves have to be taped together and then the bevel cut made. I used my beveling tool in the photo which makes a perfect bevel cut.

Day 7

Wing completed, just need to install servos.

The only issue that I ran into was this part does not fit.

Josh say's in the build video its only needed for extreme flying so I'll leave it out for the moment.
I was looking at the spar reinforcement on the plans yesterday and noticed it won't fit. I removed 4.8 mm from the bottom and will be using 2 of them in my build. I haven't cut the ply yet, so all good. Glad I'm not the only one to see that.

I did the same and made it one layer of foam board shorter in height and reprinted it. Its now glued in.

Before installing the servos in the wings I figured I'll wait until the fuselage is complete. This way I know how long the servo extensions need to be.

One thing I missed from the plans was the FuselageWingMountPlate and since this is plywood I have 3d printed it.

The front part of the fuselage is complete.
