STAR WARS scratch builds

Since weather and obligations have me grounded still I added another one....
Porax P-38. It is also briefly featured in Episode 6 of the Madalorian (right at the end).

Kinda of just threw this together, she is not pretty, design at this point is unrepeatable, balance is problematic, but it is getting there.

Finally, I was able to continue with my Projects!
I made a little cardboard prototype for the LAAT. I tested a few new build techniques, for example the ball things which will help with yaw stability. The plan is to move the CG as far to the front as possible and the vertical surfaces as far aft as possible to help with the yaw issue of most Star Wars ships.

You got this broski, especially after that last one you managed to get flying so nice. You ain't afraid of a little anhedral(y)

I just installed a few electronics in the cardboard prototype to see if ifs realistic for it to fly so that I dont waste any precious foamboard If it doesnt work at all.

Holy moly it was actually able to travel through the air!
In fact, it is surprisingly stable, but its Not really controllable. The real foamboard thing will improve this. It took a lot of time to make it fly, but not as long as with the umbaran starfighter.

That's pretty cool, the stability is impressive! The control is gonna be hard, especially with the roll axis on heavily anhedral planes, but I'm sure you have solutions for that.

The solution is big ol ailerons and maybe thrust vectoring (turning the engine pods, which also double as canards to achive both roll and pitch movement)

Finished the airframe!
The only thing missing is the cockpit, I need to find a clear plasic ball the right Site for that.
Its scale, which gives me a few advantages over the prototype, but its also much more anhedral.
You may notice that the front wing is more forward than the rear wing. This Turns the rear wing a little into a horizontal stabelizer. The side wings, vertical stabelizers and gun pods are angled in a way that schould provide roll stability to cancel out the anhedral.
