Anyone can tell me what thickness the wire is for the storch landing gear?
Thank all!!

This is not from the storch but I think that it can work. I have some music wire that I have used on my simple scout. Size, .047" (1.19mm).

3mm or equivalent music wire is what they use on most of the FT builds of larger planes.

The FT store shows 3 sizes. 1.6mm, 2.6mm, 3.2mm, Thin, medium and thick.
I use the 3.2mm but I need a vise to bend it.
It is strong enough to hold up to 100s of landing.
Not all of them good landings.

I was wrong with that number on the landing gear for my simple scout. I just measured the wire, it is 0.1050" or 2.66 mm. Sorry amount that. That's what happens when someone assumes something.

I read somewhere on this forum about an experienced Builder using Bicyle Wheel spokes.
- Cheap
- Easy to find
- Super strong
- Absorbs impacts and spring back into shape.
