Took my Simple Scout out earlier and had a interesting couple of flights. From the moment I lifted off things felt off. It was like it hadn't been trimmed before. Was trying to figure out the trim the entire flight.
After the flight, I checked the surfaces and looked things over. I had taped up some edges the other day, where paper was peeling a little (not much, but didn't want it getting worse). I figured that was causing an issue. However, everything looked ok.
Second flight was like I hadn't trimmed anything! Started trimming things again. As soon as I would get things nice, it would feel out of trim again. It was like I was fighting a moving target.
I came in for a lower pass and notice the plane acting really funny. It was like it was fishtailing in small circles. Went around a couple of times. It would do it no matter the speed.
Finally brought it in and landed. As I was walking back to the pit, I remembered the last time out, it felt off too. However, I figured it was nerves, as there were a lot of people at the field.
When I was removing the battery, I found the issue. The power pod was coming loose! I could grab the motor and wiggle the hole thing! Needless to say, I hot glued the pod in place when I got home. Hopefully, the next flight will go better.
