Solved Swelled Venom Battery

This battery look swelled to you guys I’ve never used it and it’s sat in a box in my desk for awhile. Maybe I’m just paranoid?

You will know when a LiPo is really puffed.

It should be carefully, slowly and fully discharged before being discarded.

Nah yours looks ok. Worst one I had ever seen had the profile almost like an oval. Wasn't mine either.

Lol that time I put the battery by the ~200°F motor on my brushless RC car I had a battery that was puffy and hotttt

I've had some puffy ones that lived quite a while in the less demanding planes. I usually don't decommission them until a cell won't keep a charge. Even then I'll often take them apart and remove the bad cell, making a 4 cell into a 3 or a 3 into a 2. Again, messing with building your own cells from trashed parts isn't probably the best idea but if done with a little caution and common sense its not that bad.

Actually its pretty easy. Just keep a bucket of sand handy.
