Switching shaft on NTM Prop Drive 35-36A

So I have one of these for my Spitfire build. Of course the shaft is sticking out the wrong end. Can I just take it apart and turn the shaft around? I did find a video but the guy used a collar on it....not sure why. Is there a better video?

Not going subtle on the power are we?

You'll run into issues with the retaining clip groove being on the wrong side of the motor, but if you can cut a new groove yourself, it shouldn't be a problem . . . but that might take some machining skill to pull off.

Alternitively you could pick up one of these

The adaptor bolts on to the shaftless end of the motor (the "bell" of the motor) and then you have a nice stout place to mount the prop. The prop shaft will then stick through the firewall into your pod -- perfectly fine, so long as you keep things (like the ESC) away from it. If it bothers you too much, a cutoff wheel will make short work of it. (put the motor in a plastic bag with the shaft poking through the side -- don't want the metal shavings getting sucked into the motor by it's magnets)

I have used helicopter motors on my planes before by pressing the shaft all the way out and flipping it around. When you take the shaft out and flip it around the retaining clip is then on the opposite side.
