I have some plans made up now, i want to cut them and glue it together to make sure I have the A/B fold grooves and things right.

I live in Leonardtown, it's about 30-45mins south of Waldorf. I work on the Navy base down here.

So I've got my video recorder strapped to Balu for some "Balu-Cam" action; video to follow.

I lost my large para trooper yesterday, dropped him up high and he ended up strung up in a tree. Fortunately I didn't have a camera strapped to him. Interested to see what kind of video you get out of that. Good idea though, maybe figure out a way to have the camera horizontal from a chute so you get a nice slow video pan. I would drop, then buzz it and try to get on the video :)

Well, the camera drops were successful, had to drop pretty far out into the wind as it was a bit gusty that day. Now I'd like to design some more stable chutes for the camera...and I need a better camera...

Thanks! Most of the other videos were dizzying, just spinning around like mad. I think I'm going to make a bigger chute and do like nevenelestate suggested with the camera rigged parallel to the horizon.

Hi, thanks for showing us your build. I searched images in Google of cargo planes but still like yours the best. I don't know about TailSpin but I like your color scheme. My local Dollar store was out of while foamboard so I built this much out of my scraps.

I need more foam though to make the wings. I better get it soon before I make too much detail on a plane without a maiden flight. At the very least it will make a good looking crash!

Thank you! That's a good lookin' plane! Looks like you used some covering or tape?

That is packing tape from Tape Brothers. It adds very very little weight, lots of strength, is waterproof and looks great when lighted from inside. Just 1 LED lights up the entire fuselage.

Well I'm gonna have to order me some of that tape for my next build then.

I probably should mention the only drawback to packing tape that I see. It does not stretch at all so it is a little difficult to handle curves. I suppose this is a great part of its strength. It goes on very quickly. As soon as you press it down it is done.
On planes where I am more concerned about weight than here I remove the paper before putting on the packing tape.

Thanks for the tip, I think I may try that on my FT Mustang, I enjoy painting but I always end up using more than anticipated.
