Target practice

I recently visited one of our allies training facilities and they allowed us to take pictures of the drones they use to tow airborne targets for training. The Banshee (the smaller delta wing) would make an interesting foam board pusher.

Yeah it would, very cool pics.

Would need the battery pretty far forward to balance I think. It would be an interesting experiment.

I remember seeing something similar to that air frame and paint scheme being towed behind a powered plane getting used as fodder to test Phalanx CIWS back in the 80's when they were first put on the Nimitz. I LOVED watching and hearing R2D2 rip off 5 second bursts. that sound is unforgettable.
