Teaching an old dog Using Spectrum DX6i with FPV Freerider

I'm a newbie trying to get into flying drones so I thought before I shell out any money I'd start by using a sinulator program.
I can't get my Spectrum DX6i controller to calibrate/work with FPV Freerider. I found a post that said there is a universal cable from Futaba that is supposed to work, but I'm not having any luck finding one.

You could use one of these "wireless" adapters

I use a similar one with my FrSky transmitter.

Cheers!

EDIT: If you really want a cable, I have one that will probably never be used again. PM me if you want it.

I'd like to try cable as I contacted Horizon Hobby and tech wasn't sure if dongle will work with my radio since it's so old. I'm trying to PM you, but I don't see an area of post that will allow me, sorry about my lack of skills.

If you hover over a person's name, a popup will appear and one options is "start conversation" . I sent you a PM.

Wake up! Time to fly!
Best and easiest way to get FPV freerider connected is thru the trainer port using smartpropoplus.
You also have to set the stick ranges in your radio to make it compatible for all axis.
