Not sure where to post this, soo...

Has anyone taken this class?

This course is designed for part 61 pilot certificate holders who have a current flight review. Non Pilots would need to review https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/pilot_handbook

I signed up for a different $300 online class, but now think this will meet my needs. I created an account on the FAA website and updated my profile to reflect the certificates that I hold. Did a search for sUAS and the class was the second or third result in the results.

It would be cool if Flite Test or some other professional team like FT offered knowledge videos with a subscription, like FT Extra used to be. Call it FT Pro!

So i click on the #1 button and start the course. Not bad! Only stumped by this one:

Scenario 1: A professional wildlife photographer operates an sUAS from a moving truck to capture aerial images of migrating birds in remote wetlands. The driver of the truck does not serve any crewmember role in the operation.
Correct answer- Compliant with FAR107...it says:

Correct! This scenario is compliant with part 107.
You may operate an sUAS from a moving vehicle if you are in a sparsely populated area and the driver does not serve as the Remote PIC, person manipulating the controls, or visual observer.

So no crew members are required in sparsely populated areas? (observer)

If you're part 61 you don't need a class. You cannot fail. $300 seems way overpriced. It's 35 questions, if you get one wrong you go back and change the answer until you have a 100%. I did the entire thing in 40 minutes.
