Thanks for all the compliments! It's got about three layers of Rustoleum glossy Cherry Red spray paint, plus some quality time with an exacto knife for the white lettering. I guess our weather here is supposed to be crappy for the next several days, so she can stay inside and look pretty for a little while longer.

That's really nicely finished! 13th Squadron know how to design a looker and you've really complimented it. I hope the weather's good if you're going to video it; that plane deserves brilliant mid-day sun with a clear blue backdrop!

Electric balsa? I can see why you've given it such a wide set of wings. Looks like it will ride the winds effortlessly!
Just finished MM DR1 #4 and the last for awhile. Made a couple of modifications. First, I in a FB servo tray since the servos tend to come off the side wall after a month or two if they're just glued to the side as per the plans. Second, I modified the gear struts and moved the wheels almost an inch forward to see if it will help not nosing over on landing. Not sure I like my color scheme - seemed like a good idea at the time. Feel free to weigh in and shred my choice.

It's from the FT plans but traced and cut out. I've almost worn out the templates I made.

I like the Fokker Dr1 from Flight Test. It inspired me to come here & build WW1 aircraft. HOWEVER......A Fokker D.VIII rudder & dihedral on the wings is like fingernails on chalkboard to me. I own one, but haven't built mine yet.

I often split bamboo skewers in half as needed. Depending on the supplier I have to go through a bunch to get to the ones with straight grain, but they cost approx $free.

I missed my best it will look posting! The weather crept up on me - just finished the plane yesterday morning, with a small window of opportunity to fly yesterday afternoon. Well here it is after a bump on the nose. I'm really pleased with the build. The flying might need a bit of tweaking! Flight vid is @ what did you fly today.
That's a beaut, what's the wingspan?
