Does it go in from the bottom or something weird?OK. I've got everything and the build has begun! I really dislike the way the battery goes into the FT Mustang. Trying to insert it deep into the fuselage without catching the velcro seems like an exercise in futility. Anybody know of a mod for that?
Sounds like how my battery fits into by bushwacker. A real painOK. I've got everything and the build has begun! I really dislike the way the battery goes into the FT Mustang. Nah, it goes in the front, but it goes all the way back to the CG. Check out the end of the build vid. *Edit* I was kind of hoping you'd pick up on this. It's got battleaxe written all over it. *Edit*Does it go in from the bottom or something weird?
I don’t think that josh used Velcro... Also, your biggest issue with battery placement is the fact that it is right where the wings meet the fuselage on an uneven surface, so to use Velcro you would have to stick it to the side of the plane or make some sort of tray to lay on the bottom of the plane to create a flat surface. There would be more ways to do this (actually there are, but the one I know is pretty ugly), but this is what I could think of now. Good Luck!OK. I've got everything and the build has begun! Ohhh, the full size mustang. I thought you meant the mini... Sorry.
I've built the Mini Mustang, first FT build actually, didn't put any electronics into it, just wanted to try out the plans and how well they went together. Did you think I would be building a Mustang too or was that more of a hint to a mod for better battery placement and changes?Nah, it goes in the front, but it goes all the way back to the CG. I have recently done this since it was mentioned last time, works amazing. Haven't cut though any bottom side paper yet. Just pierce the top paper with the knife, then cut the foam with the prop, flawless.@The Hangar, if I'm not mistaken, you were the first one to put forward using broken props to clean score marks. Was that you?
You so could do a top hatch on this plane just like you would modify the Spit or what the Mig already has. A little planning and battery changes made simple

Yup a that was me! Did you try it?@The Hangar, if I'm not mistaken, you were the first one to put forward using broken props to clean score marks. Was that you?
Yep. Modding isn't my thing. Got a suggestion?or was that more of a hint to a mod for better battery placement and changes?
THAT is the best underrated tip on this whole forum! My gosh, it's nearly flawless. Thank you!Yup a that was me! Did you try it?
I’m glad you like it! I tend to have a lot of broken props lying around...THAT is the best underrated tip on this whole forum! My gosh, it's nearly flawless. Thank you!![]()

Look at the Mig 3 and build your mustang with a top loading battery, works great
I've got a few myself.I’m glad you like it! I tend to have a lot of broken props lying around...![]()
Thanks! I find it really makes a nice clean cut to the bottom of the paper and makes it super easy to remove.I've got a few myself.I've got one piece that sits on my work table and I've used it for the last three builds. It's ridiculous how well it works. Cleans the foam, doesn't cut the paper, very little clean up to do afterwards. Honestly, just a great tip. Kudos to you!
