I miss the old Flite Test, but only in the sense that people weren't constantly complaining about FliteTest.

I think they still have a nice balance for the show. I don't have the budget for a DJI or the interest in buying something already completed (I like to learn), but I do like to see a variety of things on the show. They are still doing scratch build videos so nothing is lost of the old show at all. We just gained more variety.

I would have a hard time believing there won't be more. Especially with Summer flying season rapidly approaching on this side of the world. After all, speed build kits likely bring in a pretty decent revenue stream.
Call me a geek, but I've been keeping a list of the Flite Test airplane releases (sorry all you multirotor guys) since I started in the hobby about 2 years ago. As you will see by the list (sorted by date) there have been gaps between the releases, but they have been steadily releasing more each year.
I know there are some exciting releases coming soon, but I cannot elaborate more than that.

I know there are some exciting releases coming soon, but I cannot elaborate more than that.
It was part of the Planes: Fire & Rescue Challenge they did last summer. The link to the plans is near the bottom of the article. There is no Build video/article or Speed Build Kit for it. The plans are pretty vague and there have been a couple of threads on the forums from guys trying to build it.

They need to do something with all those airplanes in their upper garage attic thing. Im thinking a frankenplane v2.

I am one of them. Wilsonman printed the plans for me..... 11 feet long. some parts are not attached so they will need to be taped together or when glued care will be taken to make sure its square. i'm working on the paint design right now. that way I can paint and build at the same time. I can go see the one in the pictures and get all the detail pictures I want

As for the thred even i miss the earily Ft. But they are getting bigger and better as the years go by... even the community has been getting bigger and better. So many new ideas and allways learning something new to learn or share. Dont know about you guys but i still find Ft the best out there and has the greatest online community i know of and proud to be apart of it
I do miss a few things from the older videos. I always liked the idea of full videos having the full intro and quick tip type vids that get the short entry. As for planes I think the designs are following the show. What I mean is in the beginning they were simple and easy like the show was a simple basic format. Now that the show has progressed it seems only right the designs progress. I do miss the simple planes. Like the profile F-22 and the twin twirl. In fact I might just build a twin twirl for the fun of it.
