I have a friend here who does lots of multi-rotors.
He used a discarded CD container. The kind that a stack of CDs come in.

Yeah, of course, I meant it's not easy to make it look nice!

I'm thinking of something in between these:

The second image is of course RCExplorer's design - but I'd like to cover the rest of the body as well, and maybe even the ESC's. I'd really like a spacy look, like this one EDFcopter here:

Yesterdays Flying:

Flight Session #7

Aircraft: HK Bixler

Location: Crucita Beach, Crucita
Surface: Sand, humid and hard.
Time: 17:00 - 17:50
Flight time: approx 30 minutes
Weather: 3-5 mph / Light / Partly Cloudy

Number of Launches: 4

First Flight: Hand launch, belly landing.
Second Flight: Hand launch, belly landing.
Third Flight: Hand launch, belly landing.
Fourth Flight: Hand launch, belly landing. Wave hit the plane shortly after landing

Batteries used: 1x 2200mAh 25C 3S
Initial Voltage: 12.1V
Final Voltage: LVC - 9.3V

Damage Report: Water penetrated the fuselage, causing the ESC to short out.

Notes: The tide was very high, reducing the space for landing. Landing had to be done in a place that was constantly being washed by the sea. Flew until LVC, so I couldn't pull up in time to avoid the wave. Stalled to the ground, then a wave washed over the fuselage, letting water in through the servo holes.

Did you get the buddycode for the 25A controller? I found that one yesterday.

And while we are complaining about HK, why in the H*LL doesn't my stuff stay IN MY DAMNED CART? I like to place things in my cart for a period of time and then complete the order. Why can't HK keep my cart intact??? Stupid HK.

Yeah, I found that annoying, especially when you have to look up buddy codes again. At least now it's only two of them.

HobbyKing will sign you out after about 20 minutes. But there is hope. Sign in again, and before anything else, click on the View Cart button. Even if it displays $0.00, there's a chance that your items will still be there.

And yes, I called up my friend Nick on Skype, and told him all the reasons he needed a Turnigy Basic 25Amp ESC. And guess what, I now have $5 in store credit!

The box, with the DT750 motors, the 420mm servo extensions, the 10 cm servo jumpers, the Turnigy Programming card, 12 props and maybe some badges; has reached the Local Post Office - but they won't give me the box until tomorrow. They open at 8 AM, I'll be there at 8:30 AM. Expect an unboxing!
