The basic proficiency certificate for flying. A scheme managed by the BMFA ( British Model Flying Association ) here in the UK. You have to be able to take off, fly a right and left hand pattern, do a figure of eight with equal sized circles in it, do a controlled landing and a simulated engine out landing. Then answer questions on the air navigation laws as defined by the CAA ( our version of the FAA )
