Right - this morning I have covered the fuselage, it went fairly well, a couple of places where it wrinkled in a way I couldn't get out.
First the bottom

Then on to the sides

Finally the top and the front battery cover

Sorry to say that I don’t see any wrinkles so I honestly think your imagination is working extra hours. If that is your first time at this I can only wish mine will look the same :).

Coming up to the fun part installing hinges, it is one of the things I do dread doing, keeping all hinges aligned so there is no binding......UGH
Yeah!!! Not exactly dreading it but certainly not looking forward to it. Hoping to has this done by next weekend.

Getting so very close!!! Motor, undercarriage, ESC fitted. Control surfaces all attached.
Stuff to be done is attaching control horns and hooking up the control rods.
A couple bits of trim tidying and fitting the receiver and it's satellite and she will be ready for her re-maiden.
Gosh but this is huge compared to my other models!!!!

Nice work! I’ve been following this from the start and boy it looks amazing.

No maiden :(
Weather was awful, too windy, too cold. The plane suffered a rudder servo failure while doing taxi tests.
The only thing I flew was one flight with my 5" quad at the end of this I couldn't feel my fingertips :)
Oh well, it will give me time to add some decoration.
Did a power test....max 755watts pulling 49 amps on its 12x6 prop, all up weight is 2568gms (5.66 lbs). Which gives a power to weight ratio of 133 watts a pound, that's loads!!!

Everything I took today to the flying field.
