Im sure the FAA and Homeland Security would as well. Not sure about the FBI and the NRA though.

Now that "drones" are registered as real aircraft all federal laws apply regarding shooting at them just as if you shot at a real plane.

Kinda why FT has backed away from the more extreme side of cool and crazy ideas.

Not in the USA. If you shoot a drone, quad, or plane and any official agency gets wind of it they could potentially hit you with federal weapons charges as well as domestic terrorism now.

Sadly it is those sort of antics that brought the legislators down on use to start with! Drones with pistol mounted on them firing at targets, and so anything to do with drones and firearms are really detrimental to the hobby and have already brought in legislative restrictions that need not apply with far more in the pipeline if the hobbyists continue to show a less than mature attitude to the operation of the devices and the dangers they already impose.

Just a tiny rant from one soon required to be licenced by the government just to fly a parkflier!

Not really. There's a machine gun shoot in Arizona where people throw RC aircraft up in a valley and other people man literal machine guns of varying sizes to try to shoot them down. Everything from full auto AR15s to M2 Browning twin-mounts.

All done in total safety and legality, too. Under the right circumstances, yes, you can take potshots at an RC aircraft with actual firearms. But it needs to be done right, at an event like the Big Sandy Shoot where all the necessary precautions are in place.

Id like to see the documentation waiving them to commit felony gun acts.

Shooting a drone under the new laws and regulations is just like shooting a passenger plane.

The only way I see that being legal is if the drones are tossed in the air unpowered and uncontrolled thus removing them from the registered aircraft category.

Even police cant shoot at them.

Edit.. technically the people "flying" those craft have to fly under part 107 because the video is monetized. Them getting shot at under those provisions breaks those laws even if they somehow managed to get the proper gun waivers. That is potential for up to 28000 dollar fines per incedent and loss of part 107 licencing.
