Tiled Plans

I have just finished a career of 60 years as an Industrial Engineer, but I don't know what are "Tiled plans." Can you help me?

Tiled plans are the flite test full size plans, just split up so they will fit on normal size paper. Basically you cut them on the outer dashed lines and tape them together to make full size plans! The only draw back is they require a lot of paper.
