tmeing down a FC2212

I have found a bunch of FC 2812 outrunners which are over kill for any foamie under 12 oz. I was wondering what is the best way to tame them down ( short of a rewind ) for use on something like a FT swapable Delta.

There should not be any problem to get down the power by using a smaller prop like 7*3 or 6*4 but the weight might be a problem.
