Transmitter and receiver compatibility?

Are all transmitters and receivers proprietary? I have a Flysky FS-i6 6CH 2.4G Transmitter and several FS-iA6B receivers. I want to replace my transmitter since it is getting old and has a broken toggle switch. I would like to find replacement that I can use with my current receivers. I'm looking at GoolRC. Is this the same protocol?

It should tell you the protocol which should be afhds 2a if it has that then it should match up with no problems

I would spend a little more more money and buy a TX with greater technical support like the Flysky, as opposed to a cheaper version. This one is not much more and has a decent sized screen and better features.

So it sounds like you are recommending the flysky i6x. It looks just like the one I have but is a 10 channel. The price is right too. I'm looking into it.
