Travelling with a Transmitter

In the near future I will be travelling to Muncie, Indiana for a flying event. I'm not driving up there so I'm curious on travel methods for the most expensive piece of equipment, the transmitter. I've got the plane situation down but what should i do for the transmitter? Should I put it in my checked bag? Should I ship it up there? The help would be greatly appreciated!

Carry on bag only!! Lol Only way to get it there in YOUR control. If you have the box it came in when you bought it that would be a safe place for it too. You could get a pelican case for it and your lipos but I'm sure you'd have to pay extra to have that checked.

Here's what I do:

I have a military style backpack that I put my charger, my two Acrobee and my Inductrix, my 5” drone, and my lipo bag with batteries into, and take that as a carryon. And my ix12 transmitter goes in this:
