At one of my jobs I have been working with some SUP/Kayak E-Propultion devices with yaw control. Maybe I should hook one up to Ardupilot for an autonomous/RC carrier......

I now have a receiver and can fly again! Of course, the wind picked up as soon as I was done. I now am thinking about making another plane to test with. I am thinking of completing a build I started a while ago with the wing of a guinea pig I found in the trash at FliteFest 24 and a fuselage I made. The idea is an asymmetric sort of thing. I also had the idea of using Ardupilot's camera gimbal control with it's point of interest functionality as a plane mounted antenna tracker. Might be interesting.

The wing from the plane in post 1 came out of the tree with surprisingly little damage! I might be able to make it fly again for combat or something. The receiver came down too and powers on! The left aileron servo is dead, but the right one still works! 😁:D

Does anyone here have experience with DroneBridge telemetry? I think I set it up correctly but for some reason both qgroundcontrol and ardudeck on both mac and linux are having problems connecting to it.

I figured it out. You just have to turn off auto connect in qgroundcontrol on Linux. Now I need to figure out why the two of them aren't connecting to each other. 😟

It was a little windy today, but I flew it! 😁 :D The wiring is a little cramped in the mini explorer, (see picture below) but both fbwa and rtl modes worked. I also tested a waypoint mission, but it was too windy and needed to take manual control.I did not get to autotune because of the wind, but it all worked!

I just discovered that the gps's rx pad got pulled off. I can't solder it back on, because it directly goes to a through-hole via to the shielded portion on the other side of the board. I have tried cutting away the pcb to the traces on the other side, but I can't get it. I guess I'll need to order another before I can test autonomously again.:cry:

OOOoooph. Hate it when that happens. I have one where the surface mount connector has gone bad.... Usually works, but every now and then it needs a jiggle. Really should pull the connector and replace it with something different or it is gonna fail when I need it most.... It's between birds right now. Was in a Nano Goblin, then ZOHD Drift, and will probably end up back in a Nano goblin.
