Tricopter kk2 board Motor 1 problem

Set up new tricopter with a kk2 board and turnigy 9x transmitter. All the motors work but the left motor or motor 1 only starts moving once the throttle hits about 40%. Ive tried to calibrate the esc but im not hearing any beeping for when to change the throttle. But the motors all start at the same time when im in the calibration mode. I have also calibrated the gyro so that shouldnt be the problem either. Is this a firmware problem or am i missing something?

Im using the stock firmware from the kk2 board i hadnt bought the usb connector for the pc to flash it but i feel like it should work from stock right?

When calibrating the ESC's did you put the KK2 into pass through mode first.
