I have been having trouble upgrading firmware in 2 Speedy Bee F405 Wing Mini and 1 Speedy Bee F405 Wing APP Flight Controllers. They were not being opened in DFU mode. This was true in INAV and in Betaflight. I finally solved the issue.
I had to open ZADIG Zadig 2.9.788 to install USB drivers for the STM32 bootloader. You have to install the STM32 bootloader for each separate board you need to update, even if it is the same type of board.
Plug your FC into the computer with the correct USB cable
Open Zadig
Install Win WCID driver
Open "options" from the menu bar and "List All Devices"
Open the dropdown window and locate "STM32 BOOTLOADER" and select it.
Click the button to "Replace Driver"
Open your Configurator, for me that was INAV
Find the Firmware flasher utility
Then follow the directions for your board to install the version of firmware for your board.
Repeat this list for each separate board you are updating!
