Turnigy 9XR Sim Switch Issue

Hi Guys
i have just got a new 9xr radio and flashed it with open 9x.
all good looks cool but when i try to connect it to a sim i have tried phoenix and aero fly none of the switches are working?
do i need a mix in the radio for this?
bit of a newbie on transmitters been using dx8 but going back again for fault gimbals so needed a spare
help....

i have sorted it guys. you do need to use the mixers in open9x. pays to read manual i guess lol.
