Twin Bomber Summer 2014

Finally getting to work on this father son project.

Last night we unfortunately saw the demise of the Twin Boomer Project.
But do not despair the new bomber is already stealing parts from boomer.

For those who recall. Last summer my son and I learned some very big lessons with our first scratch build with the YC-14.

This new plane borrows from that build. In fact for now we are reusing the old 60x10 wing.
I do plan on making a 72" but we want to have fun now!

This new plane is slightly longer then the old YC to allow us to load the bomb pod into the belly.
Allows for better landings which is what caused the end of Boomer.

While it is a good 5" longer it is considerably narrower.

The motors will be mounted on the top of the wings to maximize ground clearance and while I had wanted landing gear the KISS formula rules for this bird.

Bomb is in the fuse.
I think the reason my other plane was handling funny was the bomb affected the aero.

Oh it is very stable.

Handles pretty well the same as the old YC14

I'll post a new video this week.
