Help! Twin motor ESC question

Hope you had a good time at FF
If you have a twin; You really need the same ESC and motor. Also you need to remove the power wire (red)? from one of the wires going from ESC to the receiver. They will "fight" with each other if one has a slightly higher voltage than the other.

Had a great time. The tiny twin did not fly well, and the unmatched ESC's might have been part of the problem. Wing broke, and I wasn't gonna mess with trying to get it back home, as the paper was delaminating. I really hate Ohio's humidity. :cautious: The guys in the Training/help with maiden tent were rather discouraging. It proved very tailheavy (my bad) and I was told "you should just get a kit". Umm... thanks for your discouragement. They weren't allowed to touch it again, after their "test pilot" looped and slammed it so hard into the ground that he bent the nose wheel, plus that lovely little comment. A wire that I couldn't even bend back.

I though I about had things working, time was out, and I tossed it into the last Combat as a Hail Mary. Initially it started to go, then it spun in. The starboard wing was folded about halfway out, and I don't know if it folded at launch or it cracked when it hit. C'est la vie.

My F-22 was bedeviled by that tailwind on launches on all Combats except one.

Addenda: I picked up a small UBEC at FF2025, which I can pair with two ESC's I have that don't have BEC's to power just the motors on a rebuild. I'm going to stretch the fuselage, as it was too short. I may try to put a bit more curve into the airfoil which will give just a smidge move room for wires in the wing. Dunno yet. Work in Progress. :)

Man, That's too bad! Hope V2 works better!
