TX16s Switch setup

I want to setup a switch so that I can do three things:
1: Turn the lights off.
2: Turn the lights on.
3: Allow for mode selection using a momentary switch.

The setup pictured did not work. Does anyone know what I did wrong or what I should do differently?

The lights are plugged into CH6 of a Spektrum AR630 so that I can use the gyro.

I belive you need a reciever control switch ( or make something similar) to make it work. They are pretty cheap online. Here is one link. Also here is a older link briefly discussing it as well.

Also, you should be fine because it looks like a pretty small setup, but just keep in mind if your lights draw too much power from the reciever it will cause a brown out (reciever failure). Again you should be okay, but if worried, you can always run a direct power wire from your battery for power. One example here.

That worked but now I’ve lost control of the light modes. Now it just blinks.

Try moving to one of the top knob switches on the transmitter (or a side slider). That's what I did with my Night Radian to get the different modes.

Does the middle position enable the lights and high position toggle through the light modes?

You should be able to toggle the modes by moving back and forth between high and middle

No.

Without any programming on SG (3pos) and without the remote switch the lights are always on but SH (momentary) can cycle through the modes.

With the SG programming and the remote switch installed I can only cycle the lights on and off into one mode: blinking 2 then 3.

I Think that was the same issue I was having, but it's been several years so the memory is a little foggy on it. Did the knob or slider work? That's what worked for me and I just kept it that way.

Unknown. I previously tried the knob, no joy. But, I did not try any sliders yet.

If you want it on a 3pos switch, try playing around with the weight on the middle setting. 0 might turn it on but be too much of a value to work the modes.

What controller is between the pwm and the LEDs? The one I have is like this

It can do patterns on programmable leds
