Nice Ross,
I decided to clean um a little bit the wing base and Back with thin posterboard.

IMG_1729.JPG

The bottom side of the wings will be covered with paper to get a smoother airfoil.

I started building the leading edge and the rockets.
The leading edge is made of styropor.

Not finished yet, has to be sanded in shape.

Building the rocket.

Thank you Ross. The Rockets will be removable and fixed with magnet. The Alpha weights now with servos and reciever 300 gramm. So the aditional weight will be not inportant. The paint will be very light because i use thin coats of Gunze paint aplied with airbrush.

I like the black and yellow combo, I don't have any yellow planes so maybe this one gets a little. The GF hates yellow though.. LOL

bottom is black yeah. Not the most creative paint job, but its the best color to keep track of orientation in air.
btw, this is the water-resistant stuff. For the yellow parts I used a white spray first.

Started to paint.
You are right. The Cammo will not be good for orientation. I will paint the bottom without cammo and add signal orange surfaces to the bottom.

Ricci, what paint gun are you using and are they affordable. I've wanted one for a long time.

Hi Ross, i have several spray guns. The cheapest costs about 50 $ and the most expensive is my Iwata that cost abaut 250$.
They all have a 0.3 mm nozzle. To small for RC but just right for my plastic models.
Top side mostly finished. Only the canopy windows in Black are to paint.
