Update on the A-10 VTOL: Today I tested the hovering, and it performs well. However, one thing I’m unsure about is the retractable stand. Please share your opinions on this — I’m thinking of using 3D-printed servo retractable stands for the A-10.

Very cool project! The retractable stand idea is neat, but if it were me I'd probably just belly land

Thanks! I actually want to belly land it as well, but in hover mode it needs some clearance from the ground to generate better thrust. Also, if I land the VTOL in plane mode, the propellers would hit the ground first, which could be disastrous.

It’s quite stable and powerful! It was drifting a bit to the left initially, but I fixed that by adjusting the motor angle.

Ah - makes sense! I am building a Titan Dynamics VTOL and I'll definitely make sure I have some stilts!
