it is releases... and i can't wait to get mine...:) im starting with 3 channel... because i am basically a noob... flying anyway...

You'll love it. It's such a nice flying airplane even with the limitations that the three channel give you. I flew one of the twins at flite fest and once you upgrade to that it's a hoot. I have you to finish mine (grrr, college getting in the way of building) but it's a super simple build. Just have to shoot the paint and glue the wings up to get mine good to go. I'll probably finish it up soon so I can have a snow bird in the lineup.

Plans have been updated to version 1.1 in the resources section. The only change was the addition of the vinyl window decal templates.

After dropping parachute army men from my Legacy I just had to go with my alma mater-inspired DeHavviland UV-18B Twin Otter scheme! Love this thing! Take off, drop, land, reload, repeat!

looks great and dig the livery... any better pics of the bottom/landing gear? looks like a good job an way of doing it without the alu setup...

I've been thinking about building a scratch one as a single motor using an old 72mhz tx I've got kicking around and maybe only 3ch... I've got the kit and am looking forward to building it this spring or so...

HI Donalson, sorry to take so long to post a reply. I used the FT method of a foldover piece of foam to sandwich the gear strut. I did one for the front and another for the rear. I used 15" pieces of gear wire with a 90* bend in the center. The front strut is straight with the rear strut angled forward to form the triangle shape you see in the picture. I used 2 zip ties per side to attache the rear and forward struts so that it could move to absorb landing stress. The tape is simply to keep the zip ties in place. I added fb between the gear strut foldover pieces to make a cassette that easily slides in and out of the plane.

I have probably 40 take off and landings on my gear with no issues. Hope this helps!
