FT Spitfire Master Series

Designed By: John Overstreet
Plans By: Dan Sponholz
FT Spitfire fb.png

Description:
The Master Series Spitfire is a classic warbird that provides as much satisfaction in building it as it does flying it! Utilizing Master Series build techniques and designed by John Overstreet, the build experience for this aircraft is absolutely remarkable. The scale presence of the Spitfire in the air is very rewarding like the rest of the Master Series Aircraft.

This aircraft uses the Flite Test Power Pack C and has a traditional 4 channel setup. The Spitfire has a wide performance envelope that intermediate and advanced pilots will love! This is a fantastic next chapter for anyone looking to advance from our classic swappable spitfire to a more scale and sophisticated design!

Thank you Sponz, same to the Overstreets as well. I loved the original Spit and this one will be even better to build and fly. I have been waiting for this one for awhile. As much as I want to fly this bird, I will take my time to build and finish it. Gonna save the maiden for a special occasion, well two special occasions actually. And I will post my final build and the maiden vid here. Cheers!

I haven't decided to go with the Spitfire. If it flies well with a 1200kv motor and a 3S I probably will.
I am using a 3536 on a 3s which pulls around the Kitfox with plenty of power and it's a pretty draggy airframe. The size of the C pack might have a bit of trouble doing it on 3s, it will do it but it won't be optimal

Hi all,
Been working on my Spit for the last month, its almost finished but still a bit of painting and weathering to finish off and the odd thing.
I glassed the airframe before painting which added around 100g-150g in weight, but has given a better suface for painting and stiffened up the foam a fair bit
Few pics of it so far

That starts to look more like plastic model than foamboard plane.

I'm guessing you are making removable wings? If so I'd be curious how you are setting it up and how can you make seam between hull and wings clean?

Hey pilots
shes Getting there 😍 nav lights are in although the red and green wingtips are wrong way round,
1st layers of paint down on her, waiting for C pack motor to arrive, 2x 4s 3000 batteries arrived today
once the power train is in I’ll finish off the paint scheme and add the panel lines then it’s finish up with some decals and pilot number and she’s good to rip up the skies
new camera arrived also so hopefully get some on board footage for the maiden in couple weeks when I get home 🎮💫✈️💥🔥😍
