Miracle Strip RC Fly In

I have this on my calendar, we'll see if I make it, is in Panama City FL. 4836 Fire Tower Rd, Panama City, FL 32404

Dates are Saturday November 6, 2021

This one is a club event requiring AMA membership to fly. The club is the Miracle Strip RC Modelers. I haven't been to this event, and I have very rarely made it to this field. My AMA has lapsed, so I haven't done many AMA events for a while.

3D Farm Fall Jet Fest Cancelled

Iron City GA. 3D Farm, Rock Pond Rd, Iron City, GA 39859

November 11-14, 2021

Same location as Huck-O-Ween. And yeah, I'm planning to attend this one as well, I have a few ducted fans that will allow me to "qualify". There will be some turbines there as well. Certainly worth a visit as a spectator if not as a pilot, especially if you've been curious about ducted fans and turbines but haven't taken that step yet.

Sounds like someone needs to create a thread for that region!

I'd say look for the flying clubs in. your area, and check their club pages. If you use Facebook, check to see if the clubs are active there.

Sometimes they announce events in the local FB Marketplace and the RC for sale groups.

I am part of a club. I was just looking for something with actually lots of people, not just one club...

It's typically the clubs that put it on. So even if it's not your club that's being active, hopefully the larger clubs are advertising to your group.

I have been critical of the AMA once or twice in the past... But one thing they do very well is promote the events to their members. In the back of every magazine they send out is a section that lists the events regionally.

If you like WWI aircraft, the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome flies full scale reproductions of WWI airplanes. And recently I've seen they've been doing a lot of large scale WWI models at the field there.

NEAT Fair should be happening soon. I am pretty sure they often had a backdrop of fall colors for the event...

But like I said, your best resource should be some of the clubs in your region, if you're looking for area information.
