I believe there is an issue with sticky elements in Microsoft Edge browser (in case that is what you are using), that was reportedly corrected in version 17 which was just released a few days ago. If you do not wish to wait for the new update, you may either use Internet Explorer or better yet Google Chrome or Firefox.

If you are using a different browser, please let me know.

Thank You that is probably the issue but when the forum first started up it did not due it, not saying what you mentioned is wrong and more then likely you are right, will check for update

I believe it's not consistent, more like a browser glitch - and I can reproduce it myself with Edge. Definitely not something you did, or something we can fix, apart from a browser update or replacement.

The current plan is to integrate to some extent with FTGroups.com, which is a much more capable platform - particularly practical with its geolocation approach, which makes it easy to find local members, events and content. Groups and personal pages can be either public or private, branded and used in any language - exposure and moderation falls generally under the owners responsibility. The framework in general is focused on the social aspects, which is more appropriate.

We are currently working on some new upgrades and will be pushing the changes hopefully soon - but you may start using it at any time.

If you wish to access the old forum groups to retrieve data, please visit the original (but creatively renamed) oldforum.flitetest.com;)

Best,
Robert

Wasnt sure where the best place was to make this comment. Seems like something is wrong with the ftgroups.com I just made an event and it wont let me select a date in the future (june 9th) so its stuck on may 9th. Well i guess the problem is that it wont let me change the date at all now. Maybe you cant edit dates after its made?

********Ok so the problem was yes you cant edit dates after you have made an event.

ISSUE
The forum upgrade broke the tables in nearly all of my threads. I tried to edit one to fix the formatting, but I see the following error:

Code:
Oops! We ran into some problems.

Please enter a message with no more than 20 images.

This error is also seen on a few of my other threads:

REQUEST
I understand that tables don't work anymore. But please, at least allow me to edit my threads to fix them. The maximum images per post should be at least tripled. If not, then add an exception for loading images that aren't hosted by FT. Most of my threads (nearly all) have 0 images hosted on the FT forum and are hosted by imgur.

ISSUE
The forum upgrade broke the tables in nearly all of my threads. I tried to edit one to fix the formatting, but I see the following error:

Hmm... I did correct the limits a few days back, are you still having issues?

I would suggest an alternative that may serve better for posts with a large number of images. Create a personal Album (if you don't want it listed in Media) then paste the Gallery BB Code inside your post. You will get a result similar to this:

You can find the BB Code on the Album page, inside the Share panel:

Regarding the tables, we can work on adding a similar function if necessary - but raw html code is no longer supported in posts, for security reasons.

I kind of miss the activity bar. Either I haven't found it yet or it didn't make the cut for the new site. Either way I think the forums look beautiful now.

Hi Robert - thanks for the reply.

The error about 20 images was reproduced only moments before I made my post, so the issue is still present.

Regarding the change you made:
- What is the new limit?
- Does it only apply to newly created posts?

I would suggest an alternative that may serve better for posts with a large number of images.Create a personal Album...
I think the album idea would work great for certain threads. However, all my previous threads (with the broken tables that cannot be edited) use photos to capture step by step progression with added commentary. An album doesn't translate well to this type of content. So while an album could work for future threads, I don't think it's a viable workaround for existing ones.

Regarding the tables, we can work on adding a similar function if necessary - but raw html code is no longer supported in posts, for security reasons.
I think that would be fantastic! When can it be implemented?

Check the editor toolbar, you should now see a new Table button :). If you need more than 10 rows, use the right-click menu; you can also nest tables as much as you want.

The image limit was set to 100/post, I will have to check if there are any restrictions with older posts.

Hope this helps!

Robert also fixed the subscribed threads. You should be able to find all your old subscribed threads in the "new" watched threads feature now.

Man i have been asking for years to get the same "show all attachments in thread" option as rcgroups has. Pretty awesome that we can do this now. Is there a way to increase the size of the thumbnail it shows us?

I just wanted to give you a quick heads up. We had a few spammers in here that were quite sneaky. They start a thread with messages like
  • "i'm a newbie. nice to meet you guys"
  • "Hello everyone, I'm Adam, new members. Very excited to participate in the Forum of the same people."
  • "I am very happy to join the flitetest forum to discuss with you"
  • "I is a new member, that it is very fun when referenced the forums, that are very swap and has more many new experience"
And later they edit the thread to change to their spam content - when no one is watching the thread anymore...

This was a bit confusing when I read your "Welcome to the forum" comments on a thread that started with Vietnamese Spam as the first post ;-)

So @fliteadmin is implementing a new feature. New users will only be able to edit their thread for a few minutes. After they have written more posts, they will get a new "rank" automatically that will allow them to edit their threads without that time limit.

All you seasoned guys should not be affected by this change.

Good to know, Balu. I saw some of these and just attributed the improper grammar and spelling to some of our worldwide users, for whom English is a second language (with FliteTest being their first, of course LOL). Looks like you guys are on it with those spammers! Good job!

Don't want to clutter up this thread, but just wanted to say that, as someone who is studying web design and development, this site is a pleasure to use both on desktop and mobile. The user interface is modern and seamless, while the little functionality things I keep finding tell me the framework is solid!
