Product link: HT F801W WIFI 2.4G RC Quadcopter
Full Discloser.
GearBest.Com sent the HT 801W for review.
I forked out $22.26 in fees, taxes and what not to DHL.
On to the review.
The 801 is actually pretty neat. It's WIFI camera feature interested me.
I figured it would be handy in some situations but what really made me smile was the fact the app can actually fly the quad without the 2.4 remote!
Yes you read that right. You can fly the 801W with your iPhone!
It is a bit big but still if you install the supplied guards and feet you should be able to fly around inside.
So far I've only just begun to play with the quad but I'm digging it.
Now it is no Nano QX but it is also a lot cheaper. Looking forward to trying this is some more open spaces.
HT F801W WIFI 2.4G RC Quadcopter
- The HT 801W is a WIFI enabled quad.
- It is a pretty big quad to be honest. Not really suitable for in door, well in the house but if you have a large open space.
- The kit comes complete with charger, legs, prop guards, spare props and a 2.4 GHz radio.
- The battery 1S with a JS style connector so that is handy if you have full sized chargers you can skip the USB charger.
- There is also a mount for your mobile device so you can connect the the HT 801W's wifi enable camera.
- Prop guards.
- Legs. I tried without them and felt the craft needed the extra bracing when landing.
- Camera and wifi hardware.
- All setup lets fly.
- The app. Turn on the quad, link to the wifi and launch the app. The 801W has an SD camera.
- You can take videos & still photos which are recorded on your device.
- Or if you toggle the control button (ON) you can go flying!
- Photo of my door. Not the highest or widest camera but still it does the job.
