Not sure if this is the right place to post this Question but here goes.

A couple of years ago i bought a Kaiser baas X90 action camera . After a year or so of use the battery life started to get shorter and shorter until it became unusable.
Now they no longer sell batteries for that model camera .
this is the specs on the original battery.

I have gutted the old battery and soldered a connection inside the old battery and connected it to a 1 cell lipo and it powered up fine .
Could the c rating of the 1 cell lipo I'm using damage the camera or do you think this setup should be fine.

C ratings define the maximum amount of current that can be drawn from a battery. Drawing less than this amount is perfectly safe.
