What’s a good beginner 3d printer plane?

Hey guys, I usually fly planes either scratch built or store bought #aeroscout and I recently bought a spool of Aero Pla. I have a Bambu lab A1 Mini. Whats a good beginner 3d printer plane? It needs to be free and I do not care if its from eclipson.

This Cub is FREE and easy to print and build, also easy to fly. Needs to be printed out of LW-PLA

Here is a thread by Mr NCT on his experience building one.

Here is a build Video.

So the wife and I are thinking of purchasing a resin 3d printer. For myself,I'll be printing minis and terrain for 40k and LI(including titans),while the mrs fancies some gothic figurines. While I am researching possibilities, was wondering if there were any recommendations for the current crop of printers.Preferably something that works straight out the box, preferably enclosed with a print size of say 200mm square, with maybe some extra height.Budget will be around £400.Upgrades could be useful further down the line, but not essential.I do have some experience with 3d software(solidworks, alphacam),but not sure if that matters when it comes to the slicer software.Any and all comments are welcome regarding any advice regarding this part of the hobby. Thanks

Welcome to the forums! Just so you know, 3D printed R/C planes tend to be made with FDM/FFF 3D printers rather than resin printers, so most of us have experience with the former. If you need resin printer recommendations, you might be better off asking in a community that’s more focused on resin printing.

If you got a resin printer to make those minis, it probably wouldn’t be able to make the Cub in the post you quoted because there isn’t really a resin equivalent of lightweight PLA. Some people have tried making minis with FDM/FFF 3D printers and a 0.2mm nozzle for higher detail (and you could use a larger nozzle on the same FDM printer to print R/C planes), but it sounds like that might be less useful for you. Good luck in your research!
