nope, it was intended to be a high altitude mach 3 bomber, two were built and ship #2 crashed during a photoshoot for GE when an F-104 that was in formation with it got sucked into the vortex, flipped over the back and ripped off part of the wing and tail. after the bomber project was canned, both airframes were used in a usaf/nasa partnership for sonic boom research (durring that time was when the accident happened), the last supersonic flight with ship #1 was in dec. '98 and her last flight was in february '69 when it was delivered to the air force museum in dayton ohio, where she still lives today on public display.
