What did you crash today

I picked up a Volantex ASW28 Glider from a club member a few weeks ago and took it out today. It was a little breezy with winds between 10-15 mph. This glider has foam wings and a heavy plastic fuselage. It launched fine, but I quickly noticed that the controls were not very responsive. They had plenty of deflection, but they didn't affect the flight of the plane as much as I had hoped. This is my 2nd glider. The other is a Night Radian (which is fantastic and very responsive).

On my turn to final it took a nosedive and busted the plastic canopy (which the previous owner told me was very fragile). I'll have to diagnose the control issue before sending it up again and figure out how to engage the ESC brake so the prop will fold back properly. I suspect it was a little nose-heavy as well.
Glad it was nothing fatal!

Maidened the Twin Legacy today. I learned real quick that the very large battery required to achieve correct CG requires a butter smooth landing. Considering all my previous experience was on the Tutor which is so light and forgiving, this caught me off guard. Luckily I'm a cnc programmer/operator for an Aerospace company so I'll be milling a nice lightweight and ridgid adapter to use off-the-shelf shelf die formed aluminum landing gear similar to the OG Legacy gear. Either way damage was absolutely minimal and overall im extremely pleased with the planes performance. Can't wait to button it all back up and back in the air.
Also disregard the messy basement corner. Storing some furniture for a friend whos moving back home lol.
