Hey guys, I've been wanting to design a plane, and I like it, but the one thing that keeps me from putting my designs on the air is Airfoils. I can't design them. And I have an upcoming A-20 project, and the one thing I'm scared about is making the airfoil. How do I design airfoils? Proper ones?

Depends on the software

Adobe Illustrator. I mess up the proportions and semi glider airfoils end up like Fokker D.VII thick airfoils

Well, I normally would make 2 sketches, then loft between them…. But I use Onshape. (It’s free and is an amazing software)

I will second this! I found other programs way to complex but Onshape is laid out in a more user friendly way...I really like having that tool search bar!

Mostly Done!!! Nacelle mounts done, as well as internal structure. Just needs the landing gear pods on the wings. (Probably still going to be a belly lander, but these will look cool)

Nice! I am getting some progress on @nerdnic's design, though I might have to beta build yours with EDF's depending on how long it lasts! 😂
