I am dying to build this. I totalled three of the old Flite Test Me-262s and have some 70mm edfs looking for a home.
Glad you like it! IDK, there is just something so cool about the 262! Unfortunately I am designing this one to use 64mm's and even those were a tight squeak! (Had to upscale the nacelles slightly) I might be able to make a 70mm version later though👍

So... this idea is rattling around the rusty gears inside my head... This was partially inspired by the Flat Flyer P-51.

I've been thinking about a F4U Corsair, keep the wing as simple as possible with the gull wing, while still having an airfoil. Fuselage I'm thinking would be two or three layers of foamboard, possibly reinforced with a square rod of carbon fiber down the middle to the tail. Up front, I want to try something new. I want to glue and bolt/peg a sandwich of plywood a few inches back on the nose, then bolt the nose piece holding the motor between the plywood sandwich. The theory here, is a replaceable, destructable nose to extend the life of the aircraft. Yes, I crash a lot. Around the forward nose, I'd like to do a round cowling that extends back to the 1/4 to 1/3 point of the wing. It would be part of that disposable/replaceable nose.

I'm trying to think of a landing gear solution that could plug into a spots on the wings, or be removed when not needed.

Power will be 22 or 2312, swinging a 8x4x3 prop.

Sounds pretty cool!
