What Did You Fly Today

Do I have enough expirience to fly EDFs? Well, finally I do 🤣
Since you are limited by money, I would suggest you buy a good small F-86 model with landing gear and start with that. There are all kinds of problems you will need to solve taking off, flying and landing.
Can you send it straight down the runway on takeoff? Know when to try to lift off and not stall it?
Using power management, can you descend for landing and line up to flare at beginning of runway(not excessive speed) and make your landing (not bounce after bounce) which usually causes excessive damage. Go watch telnars1236 videos.

Then you can try the A-10's, SR-71 etc., and not worry about crashing or damaging the good stuff.

Actually yeah I can. The F-22 is a bit funny to take off without rudder but I manage

Finally got my Tiny Tutor in the air on Sunday. No video, I don't have anything but my phone and had my hands full as it was.

I used an old A pack motor, and I question the power it's putting out. I don't have a 5030 x 2, so I put a 5030 x 3 on, and on 2s, it definitely does not like that! Rollouts are very sluggish on any surface, and I have a tailwheel.

The FT 1806 is making funny noises, so I think I'll just swap it out today.

If you know how to use an ohm meter, you can look for burnt or shorted coils in the motor, otherwise the other main failures will be bearings and sometimes brushes if installed. Brushes are visual inspection. I have found that typically one cooks a motor controller phase unless the motor has a burnt smell

That;s a good way to get the FBI at your door 🤣. Or a reasonfor the FAA to shut down the hobby 😂. Buuuuut, you could put an airsoft gun on a drone 🤣
That's illegal also, but probably would not get enforced very often. Not sure the FBI has spare people available anymore. The Federal Justice building parking lot across from the highschool is pretty empty lately, just a dozen or so government plated cars and a hundred empty spots.

Unsure weaponized drones are ok if you speak Ukrainian.

I had to get out and fly today - not a perfect day with wind 10 and gusty but sunny. And my inconsiderate neighbor keeps plowing up my runway. So I loaded an 1800 3s (normally a 1300) in my PrandtlLight and hand launched. This plane doesn't get enough love!
  • Nominal Flying Weight: 33.5oz / 950g
  • Wingspan: 42” / 1.07m
  • Length: 46” / 1.12m
  • Wing Area: 536.5 in^2 / 34.61 dm^2
With these specs it's being pushed by a 2205 2300kva motor. I held it up in the wind, gave it about half throttle and it flew out of my hand. It had plenty of ommphh to penetrate the wind and chase some buzzards, do loops and rolls and then slowed down to a stop into the wind and came gently down to land. There ought to be more of these in the air!
