Thanks Robert. That is very helpful. Ya Ive got so much to learn its intimidating but I think I will like it if I dont pull all my hair out. Its hard to search for answers on the internet, especially if you cant come up with the exact words to search for. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I think if the cooling fan didnt go 100% until after the base was finished it might help, but I havent found that option yet. Thanks.
Oh ya... I didn't mention the cooling fan in my previous post. The cooling fan is a another varriable deigned to cause frustration and confusion. 😆 lol

I've been on a personal Jihad against disorganization in my shop in the last few weeks so I've printed 6 of these pegboard Dewalt battery holders and a couple Dewalt 20v tool mounts.

I figured what the heck go big or go home and tried @SP0NZ radial scaled up to 140mm and with 0 infill. It actually worked and according to Cura I saved some real grams. Now if I can just figure out how to mount it...lol. It might be a Christmas tree ornament:ROFLMAO:

I am re-braining my XYZ Da Vinci 1.0A with a BigTreeTech SKR 2 controller. Will be replacing the LCD control panel and buttons with a BigTreeTech PiTFT50 connected to the OctoPrint server that i have already been using to network attach the printer and do Time Lapse captures. Had to print a housing for the TFT/Pi which needs a small bit of cleaning up to make the screen fit a bit better. Added OctoDash to the OctoPi for the touch screen capability.

Well got it together, just not in time to fly. It is supposed to balance out with a 1500mah battery, but all I have are 1000s and 2200s. I mounted the 1000 and even with the servos moved forward it was still tail heavy. I am going to put the 2200 in it and chunk it.

I also pulled out the LW pla and Bought the model D plans today.

I wanna touch it.... but I shouldnt....

Capricorn Tube is good stuff. You may also want to upgrade the fittings that it connects in to. I've found they can make just as much if not more difference by holding the tube tight.

Update, I printed some "upgraded" extruder handle, and it was trash. I kept having print problems, replaced a nozzle, reaffixed the bowden tube, and it was still being insane, and not printing or printing intermittently. Then I realized that if I just took my hand and rammed it through and worked... no clog. I replaced the stock extruder feed handle thingy and it works great!

For extruders you might look into Bondtech. I have been using the LGX Short cut Flexible series. No problem with clogs, & smooth printing.

Fixed my extruder problem. Before and after shots. Pricey mistake with the colorfab lw pla.

Hey SSgt,

Curious minds need to know what you fixed ? What was your problem ? I am in a big learning curve with my printer. I have never used any CAD programs. I have a book for Dummies on TinkerCAD coming. My experience with CAD is called Cardboard Aided Design. ;)

So I had a couple of problems.

I printed an extruder arm "upgrade". and I thought that was the issue. So I switched it out with the stock arm. I was still having feed/clogging problems. Then I thought it was the bowden tube, so I changed it back to stock, Then I thought the feed wheel on my extruder wasn't gripping. No my wheel was fine.

I was having a hard time feeding in the filament. Then I realized that the idler pulley was a little high. I had been putting the little washer below the idler pulley instead of above. So all my issues were probably caused by me putting a washer in the wrong spot.

When I upgraded things, I added the new extruder arm and bowden tube at once, violating the "only change parts one at a time" rule, and paid the price.

Found a STL for the missing Shimano shifter cover on my neighbor's bike. Ran initial test print with some old junk PLA which turned out really good. Going to rerun it in black.

If it is going to be outside and in the sun and elements, probably should run it in either ABS or PETG. PLA may not hold up.
