what fuel do 4 stroke engines take?

Hi, I am building a p-51 and would like to put a satio r some other 4 stroke in it because f the sound and the gas efficiency too. I have a bunch of 2 troke nitro engins and was wondering if I could use the same nitro gas in the 4 stroke as I use in the 2 stroke? if not, what type of gas do I need?
Thanks

My understanding is that the Saito 4 strokes can run on either, depending on the carb used. Gas engines tend to be more finicky when it comes to tuning. The Nitro carbs seem to be more forgiving in terms of fuel to air mixture.

It depends on what fuel you use for your 2-stroke engines.
"Standard" fuel with a nitro of 5-15% is normally OK.
Lots of people say that you do not need as much oil but most 4 stroke engines comes with recommendations of up to 20% oil.

Earthsci, my experience is just the opposite. I rarely touch the needles on my gas 2 stroke engines but my nitro engines are more likely to need a tweak for different conditions.

I had a saito .65 that only ran well on 0% nitro however my Magnum .91 runs just fine on 10% fuel. You can get manuals on line but if you stick with a 16-18% lube you'll be fine.

Good luck!
